This is the Alexander house it was built back in 1811 and is also on the historic register of historic places. The Alexander house is located in Springfield Massachusetts. The house needed to be moved to make room for a new federal courthouse.

The Alexander house weighed approximately 357 tons. We put the house on eight dollies in order to roll it over to the next street. We rolled the building back about 300 feet and then rotated it 90 degrees and then rolled it forward to where the new foundation would be built.

The building half way through the 90 degree turn.

The building after the 90 degree turn. It is now facing the new foundation hole. Cribbing is laid out in the hole to build a track for the dollies to run on.

Crawford Notch NH. Moved for the Appalachian Mountain Club. 70' x 110' carrage house. We jacked the carrage house up , shifted it over then rotated it 90 degrees.

This is the opposit end of the carrage house
This was the office building for the Appalacian Mountain club. We had to move this building out of the way first and then rotate te carrage house.

We moved this historic building in downtown Manchester NH. The building is owned by the Currier Museum Of Arts, and was used as an office building. The building weighed around 162 tons and was moved almost two blocks.
This is a photo of the building when we first pulled onto the road. The building was 47 feet by 56 feet, so it fit down the road and between the surrounding buildings without much room to spare.
Shown here, we have the building on the new site and all ready to roll over its new foundation. All in all the move went very well and the job is now complete. Please note the ornate chimnys are still on the roof unaffected by the move.
